The Double Eye Knot- Bait Hook Knot

The Double Eye Knot Fig 1 The "Double Eye" knot has been used for by anglers for many years and is extremely dependable and  one of   
the most satisfactorily used knots used to this day. Considered an excellent bait-hook knot.



Fig 1: Tie a "Single Running" knot on the end of a leader and push it through the of the hook.

Fig 2: Pass this loop over the bend of the hook and draw up to the eye.

 

Fig 3: Take the short end of the "Single Running" knot, push it under the loop, against the shank, and draw up tight.

 

Fig 4: Appearance of finished knot.

 

Clinch Knot  
This is highly recommended as an excellent knot for both flies and bait hooks, and is easily and quickly tied.
